A lifelong member of the Downers Grove area, graduating high school from Downers Grove South, and a current resident of Naperville, Aaron Porter has spent nearly his whole life in the 81st District. He is a husband to Christine and father to four beautiful children. Aaron and Christine care deeply about our community and state and want to make a difference together. Aaron is driven by a profound commitment to serving the needs of our district and advocating for the betterment of every individual within it.
Aaron graduated from Saint Xavier with a B.S. in Social Sciences. Since then, his journey in public service has been diverse and rewarding, characterized by a steadfast dedication to improving the lives of those around him. From his early years as a paraprofessional and a volleyball coach for over a decade to his tenure as a special education instructional assistant, he has continuously sought ways to serve and support his community. Now, as a patrol officer entering his sixth year and an active member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Naperville, he is rooted in compassion, integrity, and unity. Each role has provided him with unique insights and experiences, shaping his understanding of our district's challenges and opportunities. As he embarks on this new chapter as a candidate for State Representative, he sees it as a natural progression and an expansion of his career in public service. His commitment to serving others remains unwavering, and he is eager to bring his diverse background and passion for community engagement to the forefront as he works to build a brighter future for the 81st District.
